I can't reproduce this. Is your copy up to date (it sounds like it is)? Could you specify: * whether you use dynamic wrapping or not * a sequence of steps (possibly including attaching a test file to the bug) to reproduce the bug.

I just did a make clean in both kdelibs/interfaces/ktexteditor as well as
kdelibs/kate and then did a full make. After the make i deleted the directory
in /usr/kde/3.1/share/apps/katepart and then did the make install.

Same behavior with dynamic wrapping on and off. The test case is simple. Just
type on more than one line. Start at the very end of the last line and hold
down the left arrow key. What happens? For me it gets to the left side of the
window and just stays. The desired behavior is for the cursor to eventually
back-wrap all the way to the very beginning of the very first line...

Does the cursor wrap at the end of the line (i.e. does it go into the next line when you're at the end of the line and press the right key)? If yes, it's an odd bug I can't reproduce. If no, check Settings -> Configure Kate -> Editor -> Editing -> Wrap Cursor - it's not a bug, it's a feature! ;)

wow that worked. I had to set 'wrap cursor'.

Also, to answer your question, yes the cursor _did_ wrap when hitting the right
arrow key?? I'm confused. So the cursor will wrap when hitting the right
arrow but not the left when that option isn't selected?

Can I close this bug?

Oh, I should probably fix that. Leave it open, thanks.
